Hello!
Well, I’m a summer person, born in July, and I basically like warmth. One of my favorite parts of summer is being outside at night, listening to the summer insects chirping and rattling and humming.
But now, here in the northern hemisphere, the season is winding down. Leaves will color and fall, cups of hot tea will bring lots of comfort.
Here’s a quilt that has a fabric all about the gentleness of that “cuppa” tea.
This quilt was made for the owner by her mother in the 1950s, and is very dear to her. Her husband found me online and sent it to me for some mending quite a few years ago, as a surprise gift.
Here is the sweet little tea cup print.
The quilt has some other whimsical conversation prints as well. I’m pretty sure I would like these folks if I’d had the chance to meet them!

One of my art quilts has been accepted into the biennial Sacred Threads exhibit. This show is my top choice for exhibiting this quilt. I am so grateful that it was accepted. The show runs October 30 - November 9, 2025, in Indianapolis, IN. There will be an “Experience Weekend” November 7 - 10 with guest artist Valerie Poitier.
